May 10, 2022If you are anything like me, you listen to podcasts day in and day out. I have three podcasts that I listen to every week, without fail, and all of those podcasts have advertising breaks throughout their shows.
A podcast can be defined as a collection or series of digital files that are made available for downloading or listening via the internet. Topics for podcasts can be anything from professional advice in the medical field to examining murder mysteries about the actions of real people. The advertising breaks in podcasts can be from any brand, about any product or service, as long as the podcaster accepts the deal.
Advertising your brand or business on a podcast is a great way to shift your marketing efforts into the new age. When most people enjoy a podcast, they are very loyal to the series, the topics discussed, and the podcaster who produces all of it.
Speaking from personal experience, if a podcaster I listen to regularly endorses a product or brand, I am going to look it up to see what it is. If it is something I need or want in my life, I am very likely to make that purchase.
Next time you’re listening to a podcast, see how often you find yourself looking up the product or service you heard about in the advertisement. I’m sure it is more often than not!
