The Voice of Trust: The Vital Role of Client Testimonials
November 29, 2023Navigating the Social Media Landscape: Choosing the Right Platforms for Your Brand
December 20, 2023Trends. You’ve probably heard of them. They are constantly changing and can be difficult to keep up with at times, especially in the marketing world. Don’t worry, that’s what we are here for! We’ve done the research and are forecasting the top four trends that will make an appearance in 2024. Are you ready for a ‘new year, new me’ in the world of marketing?
1. AI Advancements
According to Kantar’s Media Reactions 2023 study, 67% of marketers feel positive about the possibilities of Gen AI.
AI is constantly growing, and that growth is not halting anytime soon. There will be many new advancements in 2024, as well as competing content. The world of AI is becoming more individualized and specific, rather than broad and general. Yes, AI’s primary goal is to answer all of our questions, but people want it to specialize information for their specific field. We may see a shift this way in the coming year.
2. Real Social Impact
Most consumers today want to know the company they are buying from shares their core values and contributes meaningfully to the world, or they will not buy from them. Companies are expected to tailor their advertising and marketing toward emotions and long-term sustainability.
Bomba is one brand that excels at this. They give back and donate one sock for every sock purchased. This mission resonates with people, and the company is attracting more customers by wanting to do good for the world.
3. Shift to Social Media Search
According to a Google executive, “’In our studies, something like almost 40% of young people, when they’re looking for a place for lunch, they don’t go to Google Maps or Search. They go to Tik Tok or Instagram.’” The implications are the same for platforms used for B2B marketing and other sectors such as LinkedIn and Twitter.
Traditional search engines are no longer the go-to source for finding all the answers you need. In 2024, we will see a shift in how consumers search for products on social media platforms. This means that marketers should shift their focus to social media content in order to appear at the top of search results for many social media users. This could include adding keywords to captions, using hashtags, adding descriptions images, and more. Not convinced? Check out how Rare Beauty has already made the switch.
4. The DIY Renaissance
In 2024, influencers and brands will be diving into the world of “do-it-yourself” projects. The term “DIY” was coined in the 1950s, but, as we all know, all old trends eventually make a comeback. Industry experts can succeed in this environment by sharing “how-to” videos, tips and tricks, and behind-the-scenes footage of a day in the life or a product process. We could all use a video for inspiration!
