Patrice is a student-athlete at the University of Kentucky. She is currently a senior majoring in Integrated Strategic Communication with a focus in Public Relations. She also has a minor in Communication.

Patrice has always had a passion for working in Public Relations. Within her major, she has gained skills in Marketing as well. Her goal after graduation is to go to graduate school to get her master’s in Advertising & Public Relations.

Patrice also has a huge passion for sports. She hopes to become a Social Media Manager for a professional NBA or NFL team. However, the big goal for her is to work in production at ESPN.

What are you most proud of?

My ability to maintain my work, social and school life balance. I run Track at the collegiate level, which does take up a lot of time. Even though my days look different, I always make sure I have a schedule planned out for my day so I’m not overwhelmed. That way, I know what time practices are, if I have any meetings, what homework is due for the day, and if I can start on any homework early. With whatever free time I have left, I make sure to catch up with friends.

What do you admire most in other people?

A warm heart. It makes me smile when people do things out of the kindness of their heart.

Favorite advice you've ever gotten?

Be the reason why someone else is smiling, but make sure you smile for yourself.

In your opinion, what makes a great film?

If the plot of the movie continues to grow and develop through the entire movie as opposed to happening towards the middle or the end of the movie.

When you’re not working, what do you do for fun?

I like to listen to music. I try to listen to music every day to either start or end my day. My favorite genre of music is R&B.
I also like to read! I tend to read books that are like the shows I’m most interested in, which are crime, thriller, and mystery.
