Marketing & Public Relations Coordinator
Katie is the type of person who has never met a stranger, so it’s only fitting why communications is the perfect career for her. Growing up riding and showing American Saddlebreds, she learned to accept and appreciate challenges, and that’s why she treats every project with determination and passion. Originally from Charleston WV, Katie now considers Lexington her new home.
What drove your decision to get into this business?
I was interested in a field that I would be able to interact with individuals on a daily basis. I also wanted to help people by sharing their stories and voices with others. There are so many amazing people in this world doing great things, but they may not have the means to share their it with others. That’s where I wanted to help.
What are you most proud of?
Professionally, I am most proud of seeking outside opportunities that were not offered through my Master’s program. During my time of study, I wanted to get the most out of the program and sometimes that meant taking classes and working with organizations outside of my department.
What do you admire most in other people?
As simple as it sounds, the thing I admire most in other people is honesty.
What is your approach for ensuring exceptional client service?
Listening. Thinking big picture. Open Communication. Meeting and surpassing the client’s needs by doing as much research as possible to produce the best content.
When you’re not working, what do you do for fun?
I will probably either be at the mall or the barn, checking on my family’s horses. In the summertime, I will most likely be at horse shows around the Lexington area.
